Tartu mnt. "Honour to the work!", one of the slogans from soviet time.
So sad that the original beautiful service house was transformed to something else.
Kentmanni street I think. Very nice house.
National Library from 1986.
Strange addition to fill the gap. It's a school building that was built right next to a school.
Close to Liivalaia street.
Backside of Kawe Plaza, Tatari street.
Post house. Refreshed by now.
View from the opposite and more crowded viewpoint.
View from the roof of Viru Center along Gonsiori street.
Hariduse (Education) street.
Nafta or Tuukri street.
Glass panels of Kawe Plaza at Pärnu mnt.
I can't remember where these two were, probably close to Gonsiori street.
Why green? For goodness sake, this ruined the whole street. It would've been suitable for some other location, but not here! Serious mistake by colour choice.
Probably Asunduse street close to Pärnu mnt.
At Tartu mnt.
Some musical school, perhaps academy.
A crime committed publicly: the main building of the School of Arts is being demolished. That was one of the nicest oldschool houses in the centre! Over 4 years later, this area is used as a parking lot.
An earlier shot from 10.12.05:
Yellow hotel Kungla is still there, now demolished. Bad colours killed the beauty of that masterpiece... Radio house on the left.
Amazing view from the entrance of Eliel Saarinen house. That is really luxurious style. The entrance of Draamateater is seen over Pärnu mnt. I remember I was there for fixing a router.
Estonia opera house.
A. H. Tammsaare.
Opera house again.
Abstract beauty right next to views to Estonia opera house: as seen from Solaris center in Lido.
At Pärnu mnt.
