So here some few pictures from a small small place called Sihva which happens to be right on one of my favourite paths: Otepää --> Kääriku. I've walked that path on the road at least 4 times, 3 of them because of annual algebra workshop in Kääriku.

It is interesting to compare last two pictures with those made before - there are changes. So people still live there!
I love Soviet-era commieblock areas and buildings both in former USSR and in Eastern Europe. Highway ("Magistraal" in Estonian) takes me through such areas and some nice blocks are located right next to them. I am happy that I can enjoy these buildings and areas in my hometown Tallinn every day. (In case you wanted to see shopping mall Magistral in Mustamäe, please go to https://magistral.ee.)

So this is another smaller area not too far from Tallinn. I was there with my bicycle. I visited lots of smaller towns during that long bikeride. This one was a pearl. Such a small place with a nice blockbuilding area. My aunt told me that those buildings have better quality because in soviet era there was some kind of an institution related to building buildings or something. Most of these buildings are built in about 1983-1987 I think, but I don't know for sure. Enjoy!
I grew up in a building almost identical to this one, but in Southern Estonia.
Blocks... and emptiness in between... So surreal! So enjoyable! Yes, I was in cloud nine when I discovered that there are buildings like that and so many of 'em!
That one almost looks like from Italy or France because of white colour. Well, it was white I suppose. But looks very cool and different!
That was some kind of a culture house or something. The style of it is... erm... like it is built between 1987 and 1992. I don't know the exact year.
Culture house again in next three pictures.
Health center.
A bit outside of Aruküla.
